Tuesday

Smarty Pants Puppy Class  Tuesday Nights 6:15-7pm
         Starts 6/5/18,  6 wk course* $140/dog - Payment due at registration
This class is a cornerstone for raising a well-behaved and friendly puppy.  Focusing on socialization, house skills, basic manners, and off-leash control, this positive class offers a fun and useful curriculum geared toward today’s busy lifestyle. Using positive methods, we help grow the bond between you and your pup and teach key skills for the future.          ***First class is for  the owners only!  No dogs please. For puppies 5 months and younger when class beings.

Smart Dog Class - Level 1   Tuesday Nights 7:15-8pm   
         Starts 6/5/18, 6 wk course* $165/dog - Payment due at registration  
Students learn both the basics of obedience and the essentials for today's modern dog in this class. Learn appropriate greeting skills, on-leash walking, off-leash control and much more in this positive, relationship-based class.
***For dogs over 5 months of age when class begins. This class is great for dogs that have never been to a class before or those looking for what's next after puppy class. Dogs attend all 6 classes with their owners.

Thursday

Smart Dog Class - Level 2 Thursday Nights 6:15 - 7:15pm
           Starts 7/12/18, 4 wk course $125/dog - payment due at registration
Master basic obedience skills with longer duration, greater distance and more intense distractions in this second level class. Refresh good leash behavior and benefit from extra focus on recalls, attention skills and command recognition with our positive training approach.
***For dogs 5 months and older when class begins. Smart Dog - Level 1 or similar positive method obedience class is a required prerequisite for this class. Dogs attend all 4 classes with their owners. Receive more personalized attention for you and your dog with smaller class size - limit 4 dogs per class.

Offered Quarterly 
Canine Good Citizen Class                        
        Next Start Date TBD for summer/fall round
6 wk course* $100/dog - includes testing 
              - payment due at registration
              - 1st Night Humans Only - NO DOGS
              - 6th class is the test day

The AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Program recognizes (with testing and certification) dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. Any dog, purebred or mixed, can participate. Classes teach the skills required for a CGC and practice the same in real life situations. You will be expected to keep your dog's attention during class.
***Smart Dog - Level 1 or a similar positive method obedience class is a required prerequisite for this class. Smart Dog - Level 2 is not required, but may be beneficial to CGC participants.
***First class is for the owners only! No dogs please. The 6th class is the test day. Week 6 Testing will be scheduled after Week 5 class on a Sat/Sun afternoon.
CGC Testing Includes:
1. Accept a friendly stranger
2. Sit politely for petting
3. Appearance and grooming
4. Out for a walk on a loose leash
5. Walk through a crowd
6. Sit and Down on command and Stay in place
7. Come when called
8. Reactions to another dog
9. Reactions to distractions
10. Supervised separation

Health Requirements - the following health requirements must to be sent to Bay View Bark no less than 72 hours prior to the start of the class start date!

All dogs entering the facility for classes, day care, and overnight care must have proof of current Rabies, DHLPP and Bordetella vaccinations. 
Proof  a parasite free Fecal Test within the last  3 months for dogs under 1 yr or 6 months for dogs over 1 yr is also required. Puppies under 5 months have modified vaccine requirements, call for details.

All dogs must be friendly and social to enter the premises.

Dog to dog reactivity and or aggression will not be tolerated in BVB classes.

**Refunds will only be given on a limited, case-by-case basis if given a minimum of 72 hours notice**
